Ode to Sally - Round

Ode to Sally - Round

Ode to Sally Round

Interior Designer Becky Lee has combined forces with artist Anneke Stewart to deliver a kaleidoscopic vibrant floral artwork in Anneke’s signature photographic Mandala style.

The hero piece of this first collection. Becky’s father’s cousin Sally Spence was a fabulous creative who worked for Christchurch based fashion designer Fanny Buss in the 1970s. Sally worked as a textile artist, hand painting, and block printing elaborate designs onto the garments - many of which now grace museums around the country including Te Papa. The background of this piece features a gorgeous silk kaftan painted by Sally which Becky inherited from her grandmother. The flowers in this piece are gifted Peonies plus Old Roses, Alstroemerias and Daisies foraged from the Red Zone.

800mm Diameter. Hangs flush to the wall.

    Artwork value: $2600
